Mao lives inside a vintage teapot, perched on the highest shelf of a quirky antique store in a rural, foggy village. Inside her teapot, the air is filled with the scent of mixed herbs and roses, as she uses rose teabags as pillows, creating a comforting and cozy haven for her daydreams.

Mao is a gentle, soft spoken daydreamer, observant and true to her authentic self. She’s always working to restore balance, since she struggles without harmony. While she's not one for parties or big gatherings, she does enjoy throwing her annual tea party which have become famous in the region.

Mao has the ability to enter someone‘s dream and serves as a guide, helping them to navigate and overcome obstacles within their dreamscapes. Additionally, she can weave a magical connection between two dreamers, enabling them to meet and share the same dream.

Because of her frequent dream journeys, Mao will occasionally become blurry and even fade away from sight. Additionally, she fears that if she remains too long in someone's dream, she might forget her own identity or lose herself in their subconscious forever.

When Mao fades away and becomes blurry, she needs to eat cotton candy, a strange remedy that restores her to a solid form. Additionally, Mao rarely requires sleep, allowing her to exist in a perpetual state of wakefulness, travelling between dreams and reality.
